This week's Fireside Chat featured Mike Billington and Dennis Speed. On March 17, 2017, a transcript of Billington's webcast on "Why the British Hate Trump" was published in EIR. Looking back, it is clear that the British terror arose from the fear that Trump was threatening to promote a number of ideas which the British and their US assets believed had been buried for good when they prosecuted Lyndon LaRouche and his associates. Ending the colonial wars which were being waged on behalf of the Empire; being friends with Russia and with China; ending the green Malthusian policies; hinting even at the American System and Glass-Steagall; these sent the British into conniptions, and into an overdrive coup effort.
